The National Safety Code (NSC) weight threshold has dropped from 18,000 kgs to 11,794 kgs (for provincial carriers) and to 4,500 kgs (for federal carriers). This new threshold will affect most businesses operating commercial vehicles. Federal Hours of Service Seminar
Federal Hours of Service legislation changed January 1, 2007 for federally regulated Carriers for National Safety Code vehicles registered 4,500 kgs or greater. Enroll now in this one day course designed for managers, supervisors, and owners which will assist in gaining a comprehensive understanding of this new legislation. The course will help to develop the skills necessary to audit logbooks as well as providing a basic understanding to ensure that companies are operating in compliance with the new requirements.
Instructor Tracey Birch has had 10 years experience with Alberta Transportation, most recently as the Safety Coordinator and Manager of the CVSA program for Alberta. Now in a consulting role, he offers training seminars and consulting services to the transportation industry, offering industry a look at the various programs and regulations from a carrier’s perspective for National Safety Code Compliance.
